Flying into a lake !
I was amazed and a little shocked when I captured this footage using
my video phone on a super smooth summers afternoon. The camera was out
because I did not think people would really believe just how low this pilot
flys. (or used to fly).

No mention of the cause, was it a slip of the control bar or an engine failure???
I like to fly low level as well! however, after seeing how this guy ended up..i might fly with a bit more altitude in future!...fancy flying over water like that with no floats attached..but the good thing about it is that he wasn't hurt.
regarding flying over glassy smooth water - its been said by many float pilots that its sometimes hard to judge your height particularly when the water surface is glassy.
